Niagara Falls man comes down from roof, assails neighbor

A 66-year-old Grove Avenue resident told Niagara Falls Police that a neighbor climbed onto the roof of his house Sunday afternoon and then shoved him backwards after being told to get down.

The victim told police that he discovered the man atop his roof about 12:40 p.m., purportedly trying to retrieve a neighbor's cat. He said that he has had problems with the man in the past, and instructed him to get off the roof. When the man climbed down, he began cursing the victim before shoving him in the chest, police said.

He then went to his car, insinuating that he may have had a weapon, the victim told police. No weapon was displayed, police said, and the man eventually left the area.
