GREEN BAY, Wis. — The Buffalo Bills get one running back back, but will be without another Sunday against the Packers at Lambeau Field.
LeSean McCoy is active and will make his return after missing Week 3 because of a rib injury. McCoy said Wednesday he was playing, but was officially listed as questionable. He wore a red, non-contact jersey all week during practice, as did Murphy, who also has a rib injury.
The big surprise on the list of inactives is cornerback Phillip Gaines' being out for the Bills. Gaines practiced fully all week and was not listed on the injury report, so it looks like a performance-based decision made by coach Sean McDermott. With Gaines out, Ryan Lewis will make his second straight start. He's coming off a strong showing against the Vikings.
Also inactive for the Bills are tight end Logan Thomas, defensive tackle Robert Thomas and offensive linemen Wyatt Teller, Jeremiah Sirles and Ike Boettger. After Marshall Newhouse was traded to the Panthers this week, Conor McDermott takes over as the team's swing tackle.
Wide receiver Randall Cobb leads the Packers' list of inactives. He suffered a hamstring injury practice. Quarterback Tim Boyle, cornerbacks Kevin King and Bashaud Breeland, running back Darius Jackson, guard Justin McCray (shoulder) and offensive lineman Alex Light are also out for Green Bay.
