An architecture critic and 1954 Nichols School graduate has won a coveted award from the National Building Museum.
Robert Campbell, a Buffalo native and longtime critic for the Boston Globe, was named a winner of the 2018 Vincent Scully Prize. Campbell worked earlier in his career as an architect and taught at several colleges and universities.
Inga Saffron, a longtime Philadelphia Inquirer architecture critic, was also awarded the Scully Prize.
Campbell and Saffron, who have both won a Pulitzer Prize for criticism, will be recognized for their excellence in architectural criticism at a ceremony on Oct. 29 in Washington, D.C.
