The Buffalo Maritime Center will host its First Annual Buffalo Maritime Heritage Festival Oct. 6 and 7 at the historic Col. Ward Pumping Station, located by the river at the foot of Porter Avenue.
On hand will be antique and classic boats, food trucks, a beer tent with local brews, music and kids activities.
Vendors will be selling arts and antiques along the balcony of the pumping station.
Visitors will also have a chance to tour the largest collection of vertical, triple expansion, steam pump engines in the world, standing nearly five stories tall.
Admission is free for all outdoor activities, and $10 for tours.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 6, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 7.
