Well the time has come again to rename the ball park in downtown Buffalo. For years I have been saying that it should be named for the man who was instrumental in bringing professional baseball back to Buffalo.
He spearheaded construction of the downtown baseball stadium, one of the finest in the nation. There is a statue of him out in front on the James D. Griffin Plaza. But I think it is time to put his name on the stadium itself.
Never mind the meetings. Never mind having to vote on it. Just do it and be done with it. James D. Griffin Park has a nice ring to it.
