Week for minority, women entrepreneurs features conference

A week dedicated to minority- and women-owned businesses in Buffalo wraps up Friday with a Big Opportunities for Small Business conference from 8 a.m. to noon at the Burchfield Penney Art Center, 1300 Elmwood Ave. Registration is $25. Click here for more information.

Mayor Byron W. Brown issued a proclamation Wednesday declaring Sept. 24-28 as Minority Business Enterprise/Women's Business Enterprise Week. He was surrounded by several local MBE/WBE leaders, including Rhonda A. Ricks of R+A+R Development; Allison DeHonney of Urban Fruits and Veggies; Dolly Randle, owner of Compliance & Administrative Services of New York; and Davielle Jackson, of Femi Secrets.
