Don't have your "Hamilton" tickets yet? You still have a chance.
Tickets for the Tony Award-winning musical's run starting Nov. 20 at Shea's Buffalo Theatre will be made available on Oct. 5 via the Ticketmaster Verified Fan program with a limited number also going on sale at the Shea's box office.
While Verified Fan program doesn't guarantee that everyone who registers will get a ticket, it helps ensure only fans - not scalpers or bots - are "invited" to buy tickets.
Here's how it works.
First you need a Ticketmaster account. If you don't have one, create it now at ticketmaster.com.
Once you have that, go to hamiltonbuf.tmverifiedfan.com to register for the chance to be randomly selected for the "Hamilton" online ticket sale. Registration is open until 10 p.m. Oct. 2.
After registering, you'll receive a confirmation email that will say your "Your Verified Fan Registration for "Hamilton" in Buffalo is Complete" and it will include instructions on what to expect next.
On the evening of Oct. 4, look for an mail confirming whether you’ve been verified and randomly selected to participate in the online sale. If you have been selected, you’ll receive a text the morning of the on-sale, around 8 a.m. Oct. 5. Again, registering for the Ticketmaster Verified Fan program and receiving the offer code do not guarantee tickets.
Tickets are for performances from Nov. 20 to Dec. 9 and range from $83 to $178, with some $428 premium seats available. Sales are limited to four tickets per person.
There also will be a lottery of 40 seats at $10 each for all performances; those details are yet to be announced.
If you don't get tickets through this program, you'll still have another chance: a limited number of tickets will be available at the box office starting at 8 a.m. Oct. 5.
