Niagara Falls pedestrian struck in April hit-run dies

A Niagara Falls pedestrian seriously injured when he was struck by a vehicle in April has died, according to police.

Alvin King, 55, died Saturday, more than five months after he was hit while crossing Pine Avenue near the entrance to the Packard Court apartments, Niagara Falls police said.

Witnesses told police the driver of a dark-colored SUV that was heading east on Pine hit King at about 9:25 p.m. on April 11. The vehicle, possibly an Acura, then continued east without stopping, police said.
