A Jamestown man was arrested Sunday after violating an order of protection, Jamestown Police said.
Officers were called at about 6:04 p.m. to respond to a reported fight in the 700 block of Lafayette Street.
During the course of their investigation, police determined that Michael Weathers, 50, had a valid order of protection requiring him to stay away from a woman who was located at the scene.
Weathers was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense.
He was held in police custody Monday pending arraignment, police said.
