High-speed Buffalo chase ends in crash, charges for driver, passenger

A high-speed chase through Buffalo streets early Sunday ended with the suspect's car crashing at Best and Guilford streets shortly after 1 a.m.

Buffalo police said officers stopped a car they had been looking for on Grider Street.

The driver, LaMario McClinton, 22, and a passenger, Robert Luckey, 19, both of Buffalo, refused to leave the car, and McClinton sped away, police reported. Police said the occupants were taken to Erie County Medical Center after the car crashed.

McClinton was charged with obstructing governmental administration, fleeing from police, reckless endangerment, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and running a red light.

Luckey, who police said had two vials of marijuana, was charged with obstructing governmental administration and possession of marijuana.
