East Side man robbed at knifepoint in driveway after returning home

An East Side man was robbed at knifepoint in his driveway late Sunday morning, Buffalo police reported.

The victim told officers he arrived at his home on Humboldt Parkway, near Winslow Avenue, at about 11:20 a.m. when a man standing in the driveway near his truck shouted: "Get down and give me your money."

The suspect, who was holding what looked like a butcher knife, took the victim's wallet, according to police, who reported that the victim yelled to his wife to call 911, prompting the robber to run away.

The victim said he saw the suspect throw a knife into the backyard of a home on Woodlawn Avenue, according to police.
