Charleston woman charged with felony DWI after Chautauqua County crash

An early morning crash in Chautauqua County led to the arrest of a South Carolina woman for drunken driving, according to police.

Chautauqua County sheriff's deputies said they received a report about 5 a.m. Saturday of a motor vehicle crash on Hanover Road in the Town of Hanover.

Police identified the operator of the vehicle as Amiee C. Weber, 29, of Charleston. She refused to take a breath test to check her blood alcohol level, police said.

Deputies charged Weber with felony driving while intoxicated, refusing to take a breath test and moving from a lane unsafely.

She was arraigned in Hanover Town Court and released under the supervision of her attorney. Deputies did not provide any other details of the crash.
