A Jamestown man was arrested after police, responding to a burglary call, said they found him on the roof of an apartment house.
Jamestown police got the call of a burglary in progress about 3:40 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the East Second Street address, they found Alexander E. Schultz, 26, on the roof. Police discovered he did not have permission to be on the property or in any of the apartments.
Police said they also found a small quantity of methamphetamine and a dagger in Schultz's possession.
He was charged with second-degree criminal trespass, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
