Drug dealer facing new charges linked to fatal overdose

An admitted drug dealer out on bail while awaiting sentencing is facing new allegations linking him to a fatal overdose in Lancaster.

Nathaniel Myers, who prosecutors claim is a leader of the LRGP street gang, appeared Tuesday before U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael J. Roemer and was ordered held without bail.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Joel Violanti said Myers was scheduled to be sentenced this week in his previous drug case but was was arrested again last week. He said Myers is also being investigated in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose in Lancaster.

Shelly Sokolowski, a Buffalo woman, is also charged in the new case.

Defense lawyer Paul Dell asked Roemer for bail and noted that Myers, except for the arrest last week, was doing well while on pre-sentence release.
