LeSean McCoy turned down an interview request Sunday, saying a rib injury made it hard to talk.
A report early Monday morning would seem to confirm why. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported that McCoy suffered fractured ribs in the 31-20 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. However, Rapoport issued a correction to that report later Monday morning, saying that McCoy did not suffer fractured ribs.
#Bills RB LeSean McCoy suffered fractured ribs during yesterday’s loss to the #Chargers, source said. It’s an injury that does not necessarily rule him out for Week 3, though. He’ll attempt to play through it.

McCoy was hurt in the third quarter Sunday when center Ryan Groy fell backward and landed on him with the full weight of his body coming down on the running back's side. McCoy went to the sideline medical tent to be evaluated, then briefly returned to the game before exiting again in the fourth quarter. He finished the game with 39 rushing yards on nine attempts.
If he's unable to play through the injury, the Bills will be down to Marcus Murphy and Chris Ivory at running back.
