Oishei Foundation awards $200,000 grant to Launch New York for incubator

Launch New York has received a $200,000 grant from the John R. Oishei Foundation, to support a new "cleantech" incubator on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus.

The grant will be allocated over four years. The Emerging Cleantech Opportunity Incubator aims to bolster seed and early-stage, high-growth potential clean energy companies.

Launch New York earlier this year received a $250,000 grant from the New York State Energy and Research Development Authority, to operate the incubator.

The John R. Oishei Foundation is one of the region's largest foundations, with more than $260 million in assets.The foundation has made prior grants of $838,000 to Launch New York, starting in 2012.
