A Salamanca man was arrested by State Police Monday for driving while on drugs, the second time this year he was arrested for the same offense, according to State Police.
Angel L. Martinez, 67, was traveling at about 1 p.m. on Route 219 in the Town of Boston and almost struck a guardrail, according to troopers.
Martinez was administered a field sobriety test, which he failed. He was arrested and transported to the State Police Barracks in Boston, where he was evaluated by a drug recognition expert who determined Martinez was under the influence of drugs, according to State Police.
Martinez was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.
In April, State Police said, Martinez was arrested on Route 219 for the same offense. He was issued tickets Monday to return to Boston Town Court.
