Tour will take visitors inside homes on Buffalo's Lafayette Avenue

A variety of homes on Lafayette Avenue, one of the most gracious streets in Buffalo’s Elmwood Village, will open their doors from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday for a tour sponsored by Explore Buffalo.

Prior to the tour, Chuck LaChiusa, Explore Buffalo’s master docent, will give a lecture on neighborhood history and architectural styles at 11 a.m. in Lafayette Presbyterian Church, 875 Elmwood Ave. at Lafayette, where visitors can pick up their tickets and tour maps beginning at 10:30 a.m.

All of the homes are within walking distance. Interior photography is not permitted. Restrooms will be available at the church.

Reservations are encouraged, but not required. Tickets are $30 and are available by calling 245-3032 or visiting explorebuffalo.org.
