OGIONY - Norma B. (nee Breckenridge)
Of Williamsville, NY and Jupiter, FL, passed away peacefully following a lengthy illness at Canterbury Woods on September 8, 2018, at age 90. Norma was born February 15, 1928 in East Bethany, NY, the youngest daughter of the late William and Gertrude Breckenridge. She attended The Alexander School and St. Lawrence University and later worked for The Singer Sewing Company in Buffalo. Norma married John P. Ogiony, a Western NY Builder and Developer in April 1955. Mrs. Ogiony is survived by her three children, Paula O. (Peter C. Quinn) Henry, Mark J. (Caroline) Ogiony and Nancy O. (Claude A.) Joerg, seven grandchildren, Graham and Tyler Henry, Madeline and Theodore Joerg and Emmett, Owen and Isabella Ogiony, and a devoted care giver of ten years, Cara Niklas. She was predeceased by her husband John, her brothers, Robert and Richard Breckenridge and sisters, Dorothy Messinger and Catherine Palmer. Norma was a past member of The Niagara Frontier Builders Women's Auxiliary, Quota Club International, The Buffalo Trap and Field Club, and her beloved "Gourmet Group." She spent many years enjoying The Arabian Horse Association Circuit with her youngest daughter, Nancy, as well as lunching and traveling with her much loved friends. All services to be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Norma's memory to Hospice Foundation of WNY, P.O. Box 590, Buffalo, NY 14240.
