Two Pennyslvania men held on felony drug charges after vehicle breakdown

Two Pennsylvania men were arrested by State Police on felony drug charges after their vehicle broke down Thursday in Cattaraugus County.

Seth R. Sharp, 26, of Ulysses, and Ryan P. Johnston, 26, of Port Allegany, were charged with a count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and criminal possession of a controlled substance, according to State Police. Sharp was additionally charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs.

During an investigation of what appeared to be a disabled vehicle traveling east on I-86 in Coldspring, troopers said they saw drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, operated by Sharp.

Troopers said both men appeared to be under the influence of drugs.

A search of the vehicle uncovered an unspecified quantity of methamphetamine, according to State Police.

Sharp and Johnston were arrested and arraigned in Allegany Town Court. Sharp was held in Cattaraugus County Jail without bail, while Johnston was held on $500 bail.
