Three cars damaged by rocks dropped from bridge in Falls

Three motorists told Niagara Falls Police their cars were damaged by rocks dropped from a railroad bridge by a group of juveniles just before 8 p.m. Friday in the 1300 block of College Avenue in the city's DeVeaux section. Damage in each instance was estimated at $500.

A College Avenue man said he was eastbound on College when a rock from the bridge struck his 2004 Chevrolet van, cracking the windshield. The same thing happened to an Elderberry Drive man driving eastbound in his 2017 Chevy.

A Norwood Avenue woman told police she heard a thud while driving beneath the bridge and discovered a large dent on the roof of her 2013 Mazda from a dropped rock. No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
