Man driving while talking on cellphone charged

A Cheektowaga man was arrested Friday by City of Tonawanda Police, following a traffic stop on Franklin Street.

Lamont Pulliam, 46, was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated, after he was pulled over at about 1:25 p.m. for talking on his cellphone while driving, according to City of Tonawanda Police.

As he pulled over to the side of the road, Pulliam struck the curb and allegedly showed signs of intoxication, police said.

Pulliam consented to take a breathalyzer test, which recorded a .19 blood alcohol content, according to police. Pulliam was charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a cellphone while driving. He was held by police on $250 bail.
