Letter: Landlord story renews faith in human kindness

I was thrilled and uplifted reading the Aug. 31 front page story, “Israeli immigrant changing what it means to be a landlord.”

Eyal Cohen is a great example of a problem solver and an entrepreneur whose motivation is more than making money. Cohen and business partner Rene Finkas, are buying buildings in some of Niagara Falls’ toughest neighborhoods and housing in some of them “…the downtrodden in the city – the poor, the parolees and the desperate,” as News staff reporter Thomas J. Prohaska wrote, who are “…willing to follow their rules.” Pictures on the picture page by News chief photographer Derek Gee enhance the story.

I urge everyone who wants to renew their faith in human nature to check out this story.
