A Buffalo man has been charged in a pedestrian hit-and-run Tuesday on Delaware Avenue in North Buffalo, according to a police report.

A 28-year-old man was hit at about 5:20 p.m. while crossing Delaware between Hinman and Comet avenues. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, according to the report.

Police recovered the abandoned vehicle a short time later about a mile away on Kenmore Avenue, just east of Military Road.

The suspect, Jourdan A. Woodward, 27, was arrested about two hours later after he was taken into custody following a domestic dispute at his home on Hartwell Road. A sawed-off, .22-caliber rifle was recovered from his closet, according to the report.

Woodward was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, criminal possession of a weapon, fourth-degree grand larceny and harassment.
