Man with knife robs Main Street laundromat

An employee of a Main Street laundromat was robbed at knifepoint on Wednesday afternoon, according to a Buffalo police report.

The victim said the robber entered Lake Effect Laundromat, 2311 Main, at about 3:45 p.m. through a rear door. He displayed what looked like a kitchen knife and demanded money from the register, according to the report.

The robber got behind the counter and took the cash before fleeing the scene through the back door.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 20s with a medium build and yellowish eyes, according to the report. He was wearing a red bandanna over his face, a black baseball hat, black T-shirt and black sweatpants.
