Another day, another high-low weather record for Buffalo.
For the second straight day, Buffalo recorded a record high for its low temperature, the National Weather Service announced.
Wednesday's low of 71 tied the warmest low temperature recorded in Buffalo on Aug. 29; it was also 71 in 1973. Tuesday's low of 75 also tied the warmest low temperature in Buffalo on Aug. 28.
It appears that Buffalo was one minute away from setting a record on Wednesday. The low of 71 was recorded at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday's high was 87 degrees, reached at 1:45 p.m. The record high for Aug. 29 was 90 in 1951.
The normal temperature for Aug. 29 is usually a high of 77 and a low of 59.
There should not be any further records for high temperatures set today. Things have cooled off, with a high of 72 expected in Buffalo today.
