Bills' Harrison Phillips signing autographs for charity

Buffalo Bills rookie defensive tackle Harrison Phillips is hosting a meet and greet at 7 p.m. Friday at the Buffalo Dog House on Grand Island, the first of several events he plans to host this year to raise money for charity.

Autographs and inscriptions on any item cost $20 apiece, and all proceeds will benefit The Playmakers, a nonprofit organization in which members mentor at-risk minority youth.

Phillips, selected out of Stanford University with the 96th overall pick in the third round of this year’s draft, has been involved with the organization in both California and his home state of Nebraska.

Last year, Phillips was one of 11 FBS players named to the 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team for his community work.
