Coach: Rich Robbins, eighth season
Home field: Stransky Complex
Program founded: 1913
Outlook: The Crusaders have won five of the last six league titles. The reigning state Catholic runner-up graduated a lot, but the cupboard isn’t bare. Seniors Joe Jamison and Joel Nicholas are fast but physical running backs. Ben Schoenle, James Desiderio and Grand Island transfer Donovan Cornelius will be among the linemen looking to open running lanes. Kicker Tristian Vandenberg is committed to Ohio, but the 6-4, 225-pounder will see time at tight end and defensive end. Ottawa transfer and FBS quarterback prospect Christian Veilleux has offers from Michigan and University at Buffalo.

Coach: Jerry Smith, 30th season
Home field: Polian Family Field
Program founded: 1947
Outlook: The Red Raiders started a lot of freshmen and sophomores last year. Among 18 returning starters -- nine on offense, nine on defense -- is quarterback Jake Ritts. The sophomore threw for 540 yards in two starts – including 252 in a playoff loss. He’ll look to get the ball in the hands of 6-3, 230-pound sophomore transfer Antonio Corsi, a running back from Ottawa, along with incumbents Xzavier Janczylik and Dawson Tyger. Austin Hill, Jacob Reilly Miller and Eric Schon anchor the line.

Coach: Derek Landri, third season
Home field: Robert T. Scott Complex
Program founded: 1897
Outlook: The Marauders suffered a slight blow with the departures of last year’s top two rushers (second-team All-WNY pick Jaden Lofton and honorable mention quarterback Casey Kelly). St. Joe’s still has perhaps the best line in the area. The group is anchored by 6-5, 296-pounder Tyler Doty, a University at Buffalo commit who also won state Catholic championships in the shot put and discus, and with Stony Brook commit Cole Gambino. Will McDonald is another returning starter on the unit. Junior Micah Brown should get the nod at quarterback.
