Letter: Lane restrictions only control driving freedom

I was driving along Kenmore Avenue at mid-morning on a weekday from Main Street to Colvin. Close to two miles of bumper to bumper cars were going the other way; luckily!

Hertel Avenue is more like a Walmart parking lot during a give away event. Now William Street and Broadway joined the ranks of this one-lane nightmare.

I would like to ask the driving public their opinion on the lane restrictions imposed by the Transportation Department. I don’t find it at all effective and it could be all about control of driving freedom?

Why install round-a-bouts to have effective flow and then turn around and cause major congestion?

Pouring more traffic through a funnel is a mistake!
