Danny Jansen named Bisons MVP

The last home game of the season for the Buffalo Bisons also means awards night.

Catcher Danny Jansen was named the team's MVP. He was an International League All-Star and played in the Futures Game, earning his first Major League call-up to Toronto on Aug. 12.

Conor Fisk was named the Jimmy Griffin Hometown Hero. Brandon Cumpton was named the Judge Michael Dillon Comeback Player of the Year. Jason Leblebijian was named the Joe DeSa Most Inspirational Player. Sean Reid-Foley earned the Fremo J. Vallone Community Service Award and the Warren Spahn Most Valuable Pitcher award.

Paul Siska was named the Joe Byron Fan of the Year.

The Buffalo Bisons Booster Club gave out its three annual trophies, with Jansen named favorite player while Reid-Foley was named favorite pitcher. First baseman Rowdy Tellez was named Unsung Hero.

The booster club also present Bisons manager Bobby Meacham with a framed photograph of Coca-Cola Field.
