The second of three public forums on policing in the City of Buffalo is scheduled for 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29 in the Niagara Branch Library, 280 Porter Ave.
"This forum is an opportunity for community members and residents and folks who want to share their thoughts and feelings about policing but who may not traditionally have opportunities to speak about these things," said Dani Johnson, a member of the 11-member Buffalo Police Advisory Board that makes recommendations to the Common Council's Police Oversight Committee, last week.
The final meeting is slated for 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Gloria J. Parks Community Center, 3242 Main St. The first was held last week at the Frank E. Merriweather Jr. Library on Jefferson Avenue. About 60 people attended the Tuesday evening event.
