Niagara Falls woman blames caregiver for missing property

A LaSalle-area woman blamed her hired caregiver for stealing property from her home, including an iPad and several rings, Niagara Falls Police reported.

Sometime during July, while under the care of a woman contracted from a local health care agency, the 67th Street resident discovered that her Apple mini iPad was missing from her home, along with several rings. She said that she also loaned the woman several books on the topic of anxiety, none of which were returned as promised.

In all, the victim told police that she was out about $550.
