A Frewsburg man was arrested for felony driving while intoxicated, in addition to other charges, following a one-vehicle accident Saturday morning.
Craig Zinger, 55, was arrested after officers responded at about 11:15 a.m. Saturday to a report of a property damage accident on Frew Run Road in Frewsburg, according to the Carroll Police Department in Chautaqua County.
Officers observed a smashed address sign and a black pickup a short distance away with fresh damage to the front end, and located Zinger nearby.
Officers charged Zinger with felony DWI (due to a prior conviction of DWI), felony unlicensed operation of a vehicle (first degree, due to revoked license for a prior DWI), consuming alcohol in a vehicle, DWI per se (for having a blood alcohol content above 0.08 percent) and obstructing governmental administration (for physically obstructing officers attempting to place him into custody).
Zinger was remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of bail.
