Sherman man charged with burglary and robbery after barricading victim

A 19-year-old Sherman man was being held without bail in the Chautauqua County Jail after he  was arrested Friday for allegedly barricading a person in a room during a robbery, Chautauqua County Sheriff's officials said.

Trever K. Kneer was charged with second-degree burglary, third-degree robbery, petit larceny and endangering the welfare of a child.

Officials said deputies were called to a residence in Sherman and determined that Kneer unlawfully entered a home and stole property. While at the home, he allegedly barricaded a person in a room.
