Recent flash floods in South Cheektowaga have prompted town officials to set a public forum at 6:30 p.m. Monday at South Line Fire Hall, 1049 French Road.
Residents are invited to meet with town officials to air their concerns, said Supervisor Diane Benczkowski. Officials from the engineering, building and plumbing and highway departments will attend.
Many residents in the southern part of town spent much of last weekend cleaning up flooded basements and streets after more than 2 inches of rain fell, Benczkowski said.
Staff from the Erie County Division of Sewerage Management will also be available to speak with residents about the cause of the flooding and efforts to prevent it from damaging property again.
