Niagara Falls teen charged with firing gun outside grocery store

An 18-year-old has been accused of shooting a gun at another person Wednesday night in Niagara Falls, according to a police report.

Thaddeus T. Pryor, of Falls Street, was charged with reckless endangerment and resisting arrest for the incident that happened at about 11:20 p.m. near Pierce Avenue and 17th Street.

A bullet struck Hometown Grocery, located at the corner of Pierce Avenue and 17th Street. Several people were inside and outside the store and walking in the area at the time, but no one was injured, according to the police report. A vehicle seen leaving the area was located by police a short time later outside a house on 70th Street, between Girard Avenue and Niagara Falls Boulevard. Officers also found a 9 mm handgun inside the home.

Police also found five marijuana plants growing in the backyard, but did not charge the homeowner since he allowed police to search the residence, according to the report.
