Buffalo man sentenced to 5 years for drug and weapon convictions

A Buffalo man was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison, to be followed by four years of post-release supervision, for his drug and weapon convictions.

David Moore, 44, pleaded guilty to third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree in May, according to the Erie County District Attorney's Office.

During a Jan. 26, 2017, raid on a Woodlawn Avenue apartment, Buffalo police officers found Moore with a loaded handgun and heroin laced with fentanyl, prosecutors said.
