Despite plenty of Buffalove, Buffalo Adore has closed

Buffalo Adore is no more.

At least in bricks and mortar.

The Buffalo-themed gift store closed its doors at 617 Main St. in the Market Arcade this week. It will continue selling merchandise by Buffalo artists online at

Owner Andrea Kleinfelder said the store did well, but she's ready to move on from retail life.

"It was amazing the amount of support we had from politicians, the media, customers and so many other Buffalonians," she said. "Downtown Buffalo was a great place for my business. I am just simply closing to pursue other dreams of mine."

The store catered both to tourists, with traditional Buffalo-themed souvenirs such as shot glasses, postcards and magnets; as well as hardcore Buffalovers with Buffalo-themed artwork, clothing and home decor.

Buffalo Adore was one of the first Queen City Pop-Up participants during the program's first run in 2014. It signed a lease and opened its permanent Main Street store the following spring. A second store in South Buffalo closed in 2016.
