A Pennsylvania man was arrested by Chautauqua County Sheriff's deputies Sunday and charged with driving while intoxicated, authorities said.
According to the Sheriff's Office, John J. Patrick, 37, of Lansdale, was operating a vehicle that went off the road at about 6:18 p.m. and became lodged in a ditch off Route 83 in the Town of Cherry Creek.
Deputies administered standard field sobriety tests at the scene and Patrick was placed under arrest, the Sheriff's Office said.
Patrick was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, or operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content reading of .08% or more, authorities said. He also was charged with failure to keep right, authorities said.
Patrick was released with appearance tickets, the Sheriff's Office said.
