Two taken to hospitals after collision on Grand Island bridge

Four people were medically evaluated by emergency medical technicians for non-life threatening injuries following a two-car accident Monday on the northbound north Grand Island Bridge, according to the Grand Island Fire Company.

Captain Jourdain Benoit said volunteer firefighters from his company responded to the accident at 3:20 p.m.

One person was transported to Kenmore Mercy Hospital by Twin City Ambulance and another was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle, Benoit said.

Two others refused further medical treatment, he said.
