Advisory board wants to know what you think about policing in Buffalo

The first of three public forms on policing in the City of Buffalo is scheduled for 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, in the Frank Merriweather Library, 1324 Jefferson Ave.

"This forum is an opportunity for community members and residents and folks who want to share their thoughts and feelings about policing but who may not traditionally have opportunities to speak about these things," said Dani Johnson, a member of the 11-member Buffalo Police Advisory Board that makes recommendations to the Common Council's Police Oversight Committee.

The other two meetings are slated for 6 to 7:30 p.m. Aug. 29 in the Niagara Branch Library, 280 Porter Ave., and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the Gloria J. Parks Community Center, 3242 Main St.
