West Side assault victim is later arrested after car crash

Buffalo police arrested Danial Crocker of Livingston Street after a Saturday car crash that occurred less than two hours after Crocker was the victim of an assault.

Crocker, 42, was seen with blood running down his face on Bailey Avenue shortly after 4 p.m. Crocker told Northeast District police a man argued with him over money and hit him in the head with a paint roller.

Police picked up Latief Johnson, 40, of no permanent address, and charged him with felony assault and harassment.

Shortly before 6 p.m., Central District officers stopped Crocker's auto at Breckenridge and Livingston streets and charged him with leaving the scene of an injury accident two blocks away at Richmond Avenue and West Ferry Street. Crocker also was charged with misdemeanor drug possession.
