Van stolen while Niagara Falls man makes early morning pizza stop

Two young men who exited a pizzeria as a customer entered early Saturday apparently went straight to the customer's nearby van and stole it, Niagara Falls Police said.

Witnesses reported seeing the two men jump into the 2011 Dodge van and drive off just after 12:30 a.m. Saturday, according to reports. The victim, a Niagara Falls man, told police that he was driving his girlfriend's vehicle and had just stopped into Mr. Ventry's Pizzeria, 1890 Pierce Ave., for a late-night snack when the theft occurred.

People who were inside the pizzeria at the time gave the victim a tentative identification of one of the suspects, said to be a 14-year-old city resident. An investigation into the theft is continuing.
