The Very Rev. Gregory J. Dobson and attorney Joseph A. Stoeckl are slated to be honored at Christ the King Seminary's annual Curé of Ars awards dinner on Oct. 4 at The Atrium@Rich’s in Buffalo.
Dobson, a 1983 graduate of Christ the King, recently retired after 21 years as rector at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels in Olean and as Episcopal Vicar of the Southern Cattaraugus Vicariate. He has served as Canonical Administrator for the Southern Tier Catholic School and is a member of the Archbishop Walsh Academy’s governing board.
Stoeckl, of the law firm Bond, Schoeneck & King in Buffalo, has represented the Diocese and institutions including the seminary for over 43 years. He represented the Diocese and Catholic Charities of Buffalo in the formation of the Catholic Health System.
