Two arrested in Wednesday night shooting

Police arrested two Buffalo men in connection with the Wednesday night shooting of a 19-year-old man, police spokesman Michael J. DeGeorge said Friday.

The victim, whose name was not released, is believed to have been shot near the intersection of East Utica Street and Jefferson Avenue. He arrived at Buffalo General Hospital in a civilian vehicle about 10:30 p.m. He was transferred to Erie County Medical Center where he remained in serious condition Friday.

Jason Chapman, 18, was charged with felony assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Diondre Brown, 23, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
