The former Bon-Ton store in Lockport will hit the auction block along with six other properties owned by the bankrupt department store chain.
The store encompasses 82,000 square feet at 5737 South Transit Road. It was formerly part of the Lockport Mall, which was built in 1971 and demolished in 2011. A Walmart store was constructed in its place.
A&G Realty Partners, a real estate advisory and brokerage firm headquartered on Long Island, will auction the properties on Sept. 2 in Chicago. All bids are due Sept. 18.
The other stores are in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania and operated under the Carson's, Younkers, Elder-Beerman and Bon-Ton brands.
A&G was tapped in May to liquidate the company's real estate on behalf of Great American Group, LLC; Tiger Capital Group, LLC and Bon-Ton's second-lien note holders. A liquidation of all merchandise and fixtures is also ongoing.
