Bills coach Sean McDermott has informed the players as to who will be the starting quarterback for Friday’s preseason game but again declined to publicly identify the starter.
McDermott took the same approach before last week’s preseason opener against Carolina.
On the final day of training camp at St. John Fisher, McDermott said AJ McCarron, Josh Allen and Nathan Peterman have all “had their moments.” He noted some were good and some were bad. But he said all three were playing well. “That’s good for our football team,” he said.
McDermott also did not rule out Allen seeing some time with the first team against the Browns. He said it was something the team is considering.
The Bills also made a roster move.
Sean McDermott says FB Sam Rogers has been signed. Zach Olstad has been waived/injured because of an ankle injury. #Bills
