Buffalo Jewish festival to highlight food, culture

Jewish food, music and kids games will all be featured at the Great Buffalo Jewbilee! Sunday at the Jewish Community Center and Temple Beth Zion on Delaware Avenue, between Barker and Summer Streets.

Jewish food from babka and rugelach to bagels and potato kugel will be at the event, which will run from 11:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Performers throughout the day will include Cantors’ Kumzitz, a collection of cantors from Western New York singing in a chorale organized by Cantor Penny Myers, and Y-Studs, an a cappella singing group from Yeshiva University in New York City.

Israeli dancing and demonstrations of Krav Maga, an Israeli martial arts, will be held.

There will also be bounce houses, face painting, arts and crafts, matzo house building and more.
