Walden Galleria's latest cutting edge tenant is – Burger King?

Walden Galleria, the Cheektowaga mall that pulls shoppers from as far away as Toronto and is known for pulling in high-end, first-in-market luxury brands, has landed a new tenant.

Burger King.

The fast-food chain opened in the mall's food court Friday in the former Orazio's Crepes, which closed last June. It joins Mumbles Chicken and Waffles, a locally owned restaurant which opened in May in the former Get Fried spot. The food court is now fully leased.

Beginning in October, Sbarro will undergo a remodel. Oyishi Japan underwent a remodel last year.

The restaurant will offer $1.99 kids' meals through the weekend to celebrate its grand opening.

The Galleria Burger King location is franchised by JSC Management Group, which has 10 locations in Western and Central New York.
