Fashion Friday: Meet the Botanical Gardens' Erin Grajek

Name: Erin Grajek, 41

Who she is: Associate vice president of marketing and visitor experience at the Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens. The East Aurora native lives in Orchard Park with her husband, Mark Jakubowski, and their 3-year-old son, Myles.

What she’s wearing: Skinny dark denim jeans from Calvin Klein purchased for $20 at Marshalls; white MICHAEL Michael Kors top with accordion pleats purchased for $16, also from Marshalls; necklace she crafted herself using Murano glass beads from a gem show in Tucson, Ariz. She has had her amethyst-colored satin ballet flats with flower details for years. (“I can’t wear them in the rain,” she said.) She bought her peridot earrings in 1995 at the Toronto Eaton Centre. Her Roycroft silver bracelets date back to high school. (“They remind me of home,” she said.) And her green Coach clutch – which blends right in with the greenery in the Aquatic Garden and Asian Rainforest at the Botanical Gardens – “was a gift to myself when I got this job 12 years ago,” she said.

Signature piece: “Something colorful and joyful. If it makes me feel good, I wear it. If it makes other people smile, even better,” she said.

Fashion statement: “I would say my style is classic but breezy - with a pop of whimsy or color. Something bright and vibrant,” she said.

Last purchase: A pair of Cole Haan black patent flats with bows on top.

In the market for: “A pair of wonderfully tailored pink skinny dress pants. I have chinos in pink and I love them. I want them skinnier and dressier,” she said.
